My friends dad died around nine months ago, left a house and a little money. He had three sons, one of whom cared for him, had a joint bank account with him and visited him twice or more a week and whenever he called. He has been living in the house for the past nine months with the belif that he would get the house (because the other sons agreed verbally). The other sons only wanted a gun and a car and a painting which they got, and the rest of the family where free to come and get whatever they want from the house (pictures antiques etc). Now when it comes down to it (because of financial problems of one of the brothers) they dont want to sign the house over. Will the house be sold and money split equally, or will the brother that took care of the dad be favoured and keep the house?

This is not in dream interpretation because of (a) content and (b) I want LGBT advice ONLY!!!!

I had a dream that I went into an antique shop that you weren't allowed to walk around. All customers had to stand on this escalator style ramp (like they have in airports) and admire all the antiques from afar. Nobody was buying anything, everyone was just watching. The shop reminded me o a tea shop on the Isle of Wight and I assume this was the origin of the setting.

Anyway when I finished looking around, I was standing in an old fashioned arcade and there was a fire escape. I don't know why I walked in but waiting outside was a man I haven't seen in ages and who I have no interest in getting to know whatsoever. However for some reason we started kissing and feeling one another. The dream was so graphic that I even felt his private area and it was very erect.

Suddenly we started talking about the Isle of Wight and he said he lived there. He asked me quetions about the Isle of Wight to see if I was lying about having been there. When he believed me, the dream led me to believe that he and I were going to move in together on the Isle of Wight and as we left the arcade I invisaged a train (like a monorail) as if indicating that I was going home to pack or going to the Isle of Wight.

So my question is..

(1) What do the Antiques mean? and why couldn't I touch them?
(2) What was the significance of the fire exit?
(3) Why was I making love to someone I do not like or care about?
(4) What was the significance of me shacking up with that person?

I have a theory. I'm not sure whether you all agree but.

I think the ramp and the antiques reflect a lack of control with regards to my circumstances. I think the antiques symbolize that I am getting older and the very fact that I was alone, highlights the fact that I am still single and getting older. When I left the shop I could see a fire escape and sleeping with someone I don't care about indicates that I will be less chosy about who I sleep with (even desperate maybe?). Which is a reason why I end up moving in with him on a whim (basically settling for anything?).

Does this sound true to you?

Many people, especially those of an older generation, seem to have endless amounts of glassware hidden in cupboards, cellars, attics, and even sheds. However, whenever somebody comes round to visit, they pull out the same old set of wine glasses or whisky glasses that they always use. Often people think this hording behaviour is a waste of money and space, but opinion may be changing following a few high profile cases of pricey discoveries.

Last year a women in Alabama found some incredibly expensive wine glasses in her basement, and since then there have been hundreds of reported cases of glassware goldmine finds. A relative from overseas had come to visit the women and was helping her clear out her basement when he recognized the glassware brand. They turned out to be very rare vintage Riedel wine glasses, which she sold at auction for ,000. Similar stories have now been popping up all over the place and there are even some businesses now that offer to send round antiques experts to people’s homes to sniff out the expensive pieces.

LSA, a company who make glass vases, have released finding of a study they commissioned which suggested that people in America have an average of $1000 worth of glassware in their homes, and most people think their collections are worthless. To identity expensive items yourself, LSA recommends looking out for key brands such as Reidel, Spiegelau and Cambridge. They state that how much an item is worth often comes down to the clarity of the glass, the detailing on it, and how good the finishing is. Lastly, expensive crystal glass will have a hallmark and often a date on the base. LSA advised that if you are still unsure about the worth of your glassware you should take it along to an antiques dealer who usually give accurate valuations. It is worth being a little cautious of their valuation however as they may be interested in the piece themselves and want to pay below value for it.
