Antique collecting has become a popular hobby and as time passes more and more types of antiques are available. For beginners the question is always  "Where do I start?" You should first understand that generally only items over 100 years old are considered an antique. Generally ancient items are labeled antiquities.

You can also shop at private auction, garage sales, or flea markets. When you go to these places you not only shop for antiques but also build connections.The more people you know in the antique industry, the more likely you will be to find the antique you want.
